Introduction.

Hello girls (and boys)!

I’m a longtime beauty blog follower and a first time poster. This blog was created because I wanted to share my personal views on things makeup- and beauty-related. I am studying/working in a completely unrelated industry which means that I am by no means a professional makeup artist/stylist. Although I cannot offer any expert advise or impressive FOTDs using outrageous colours and combinations, I can offer you my down-to-earth and unbiased views and opinions on some of the beauty-related topics and products that I have encountered.

Practical is the general theme of my approach to beauty – something that came with age. I am now 26 years old. In my younger days I’ve had crazy piercings and frequently bleached hair. These are now but faint memories due to work-appropriateness and mostly, preference. As a younger girl I also couldn’t afford most higher-end makeup brands but instead reveled in cheap drugstore thrills and often let the attraction of a sales price to seduce me into buying something inexpensive but utterly frivolous. With age, I have come to slowly appreciate the value of the “stable items”. They can be either a high-end or drug store purchase, ranging from a few hundred dollars (mostly skin care and tools) to under 10. I take the time to research things I want to purchase and try to stay away from buying unnecessary items from either sales or gimmicks such as “high def” and “mineral” or "limited edition" etc. (more on these later)

With time, I have found a repertoire of things that work FOR ME. What works for me may not necessarily work for everyone else, but it is nice to be able to exchange ideas/inspirations and tips. This is the place I’d like to share them with you, and as well, get some feedback/suggestions. :)
